4 Duo Costumes I Hope to See This Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner, and let’s be real: the costume ideas we’re all waiting to see have to be equal parts creative and chic! I love spotting costumes that make you do a double take, wondering, “Where did they come up with that idea?!” And while I do appreciate a classic witch or vampire, this year, I’m manifesting some more unique, fabulous options.

Here are some fun and unexpected duo costume ideas I hope to see this spooky season (plus, they're totally unisex and Instagram-worthy!). Let’s get into it!

1. Emily & Mindy from Emily in Paris

Who else is obsessed with the fashion in Emily in Paris? It’s giving Parisian-chic vibes, colorful outfits, and just the right amount of “I’m living my best life” energy. Grab your BFF and go as Emily and Mindy! One of you can rock Emily’s iconic bold prints, berets, and cute mini skirts, while the other serves up Mindy’s glamorous and slightly more daring looks. The key to this duo? Confidence, sass, and a LOT of fashion risks. Bonus points if you toss in a French accent (even if it's terrible – that’s part of the charm, right?). The best part? You can wear these outfits after Halloween! Winning.

2. Death Becomes Her Duo

If you know, you know – and if you don’t, you need to watch Death Becomes Her immediately! It’s a cult classic that brings some major glam Halloween inspiration. Think Meryl Streep’s character in that dazzling gold dress with a literal hole through her stomach (you can DIY this with some crafty materials) or go for Goldie Hawn’s bedraggled-yet-fabulous character. It’s dramatic, dark, and hilariously campy. Not to mention, the costume possibilities are endless, and it’s guaranteed to get the most jaw-drops at the party!

3. Elphaba & Glinda from Wicked

We’ve all seen a witch costume, but this takes it to Broadway levels of fabulous. Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked are the ultimate witchy duo, and I would LOVE to see these two magical forces at any Halloween event. For Elphaba, go for green skin, dramatic black robes, and a broom. Glinda? All about that poofy pink dress, crown, and a glittery wand. If you and a friend are into dramatic entrances, this costume idea will have you serving all the magic and sparkles you could want this Halloween. Cue “Popular” in the background.

4. Janis & Damian, 'Mean Girls'

So fetch! If you’re a Mean Girls fan (aren’t we all?), then you know Janis and Damian are the ultimate duo to dress up as this Halloween. Janis’s signature dark, edgy vibe with her oversized hoodie, chunky boots, and “art freak” attitude is easily recognizable, while Damian’s iconic blue hoodie with the "She Doesn’t Even Go Here!" sign is pure comedic gold. It’s a fun, easy-to-pull-together costume that’ll get tons of laughs and maybe even a few quotes from fellow fans. Just remember: On Wednesdays, we wear pink!
